Wow, the school’s started, and two weeks have already flown by. Continuing my last blog, where I wrote that the key to achieving things in life is CCC (Conscious, Consistent, Commitment), I still genuinely believe this. Yet, your comments have helped me realize that a question has been weighing on me throughout the summer, and I want to thank you.

While the CCC is undoubtedly a well-refined method of focusing on my goals, I also believe that some of my past blogs on 7-1=0 or reflection could also have led me to success. So why am I still struggling? There are days I can feel that I’m on track, but other days where I realize I’ve gotten distracted again. A few weeks ago, I was conversing with my dad as we drove back from LA, and a revelation struck me. I had an actual light bulb moment on Highway 101, and I am excited to share it with you. I’m also excited to read your comments on improving my theory, as I have just ten days left to go to school. I want to ensure I listen with an open mind as I prepare for an exciting year ahead.

I’ve learned that we think that we sometimes believe that we know everything at a particular moment in life. We believe that because we see the solution to one part of the puzzle of life at that moment, we think we’ve solved the whole equation. When we have these moments in life, we often want to share our thoughts and solutions with others at that exact moment, but in doing so, we interfere with each other’s lanes.

Let us put that on hold for a moment and consider our roles in life. 99% of our success in life is in defining our roles. I like to think of my roles as an individual word or a set of words in different environments. At home, I am a brother and a son; while at school, I am a student and classmate; and I am an employee and colleague at work. People get frustrated at certain events because they do not fully understand their role in those given moments. For example, suppose I continuously advise my younger sister on studying, what to do, and what to say. In that case, I will never experience the true feeling of being a brother or sharing my friendship with her.

Roles are interesting; it is not just a matter of the tag you have associated, but; instead, it perceives the position you should play at that time. Once I define that for myself, staying focused and being clear has started to help me become so much happier and more efficient.

One final point about this that I’ve observed (and I would love to hear your thoughts on the same) is that this is not about anyone telling me what my role needs to be; it is about me gaining a personal understanding of what role I want to play in each situation.

With these thoughts in mind, I finally understand why lately at home, whenever there is a discussion boiling up, and everyone starts giving their opinions, my dad starts saying there is too much traffic on 101. Everyone needs to stop merging and stay in their lane.

I now understand the importance of knowing my role in different situations and will continue to elevate my state of conscious behavior as I encounter new problems in life. For now, I am focused on the Energy Drive through which I’m connecting with so many new people, spreading positive energy, and continuing to count on your support for the same. Once again, I would like to thank you all for still supporting our Energy Drive, and I encourage you to please keep commenting and sharing.
