It was finally time for fun, but not just any fun, family fun. After all 8 weeks of studies and stress, my mom and dad surprised me with a trip. It turned out not to just a great trip, but a spark of life.

This was the first time in the snow with my cousin, Parth. Keyaa hanged out with her favorite sister Veerali, all the parents were chilling, and the grandparents “worried” about everything while having fun. When it was time to go, a big white van pulled up. This time we were not in two different cars, but in one big car together.

For the first time I went snowboarding with a giant mountain staring down at me.  But I had no fear as I knew nature being my Guru was going to take care of me. Everytime I fell, I stood back up strong and had no regret of failing in those six hours. When I came back from the lesson, Parth asked me how was it. I replied that it was amazing. The next day we explored Tahoe and went sledding. That night we played risk with many different strategies and goals and I kept rolling lucky sixes. Everyone thought that I was going to win, but no matter who won I had fun rolling for everyone.

This was the first time in 6 years that we had a family trip together and it was better than the Cabo family trip, because this time I did not get lost on the beach! During the long ride home I kept thinking what made these three days so amazing and special although I fell a lot in the snow and did not win at Risk. Then it struck me, when I was snowboarding I fell and stood up a lot of times, but I always stood up with confidence and an energy to achieve more. What if we did this in life when we go through ups and downs, there is no difference, as I discovered that it is all in our attitude, regardless of the situation?
