It was my first trip, away from home on my own. I didn’t know what to expect, but I knew I wanted to have fun. Before I left I was a bit nervous and my dad reminded me, do not worry, nature is always there to help me. With that I was relieved and ready for an adventurous and fun trip.

I arrived at about 10:00 am and got introduced to the room. I experience friends and “nice” socks. While there were hardships I found peace in nature.  From my past blogs, you all know my love for food and how “flexible” I am with eating. Well to your surprise it is a different me when I am in the jungle, I had many veggies, tofu, patties, and more veggies. You won’t believe it, but I ate it all with my new friend Tapatio. We did a lot of fun activities, but no matter what the struggles were it was a different type of peace and joy being in nature. The mornings were the most “amazing”, portable friendly toilets, a 1 min cold shower, damp room but it was truly great because when there is peace none of these are small things.  It actually was great and a reminder of how blessed we are with Modern Technologies. I also discovered the most amazing plant that made me feel like a true vegetarian. This plant was called Redwood Sorrel, shape of a heart and taste of sour apple. All this reminded me of my trip to Pench (Pench Blog).

The memories and experiences are endless. We all ask where God is. Every time I am in nature I experience something new with a different feeling of joy. When I am lost and I don’t know where to go there are answers in nature. It is our ability to take a pause and listen quietly. In this trip my guru, nature, taught me a whole new appreciation for life including how blessed we are for the water, shelter, food, family, etc.  I love you all and this year is going to be exciting as I open myself up to absorb new things as they come to me.
